Wed like to thank all those who took part in the 1.41 Open Beta, made bug reports, and provided general feedback on this new version. Upgraded from OG vive and the difference is incredible. ago I have RTX 3080, G2 and G29 and it does work very well. So you should be able to just use the -openvr launch option as you would for those headsets. It might be necessary to lower your game settings in order to maintain comfortable framerate. With lots of testing, feedback, fixing, and fine-tuning, we are excited to announce the highly anticipated arrival of update 1.41 for Euro Truck Simulator 2. A quick Google suggests it should work the same as a Vive or Index, since it uses SteamVR/OpenVR. Use it only while needed, and don't forget to check your game performance with mirroring enabled. You should also know, that mirroring is additional rendering and it has impact on game's performance. Because viewing direct headset image capture is not very comfortable to watch, it makes viewer feel motion sick. If you are making a video recording you may want to apply stabilizing filter to the image, so camera would be less wobbly for the viewers. i would suggest to try to open the ETS2 config.cfg (with word pad or notepad or whatever) in your documents folder\Euro Truck Simulator 2, find and set interleavedreprojection to '1' so that the game runs at half framrate and let the steamvr's motion smoothing do the rest. If your streaming software doesn't have this feature - you might try OBS. i have also an 2080ti with 32gb ram and an 4790k. Today Euro Truck Simulator is updated and works with the latest Oculus runtime 1.3. However, it took a while to make it work with the consumer software. The developers updated the game every change of the way. Remove one of the eyes and stretch the image for proper aspect ratio. One of the first full games that supported virtual reality was Euro Truck Simulator 2. Also you might want to modify and crop the captured mirror image with your streaming software. See for yourself, which one suits you the most. \Oculus\Support\oculus-diagnostics\OculusMirror.exe I cant see much, and as I do a lot of quick jobs (I rarely buy a truck so have no option to put a gps in the left corner) I am stuck. The bottom of the GPS is about level with the top of the steering wheel, and is making driving a bit of a faff. Make your way through broad boulevards of industrial cities and narrow streets. Oculus users can use Oculus Mirror Software to mirror the game. I use a VIVE, but have been using a monitor recently as the GPS has moved to dead center of the screen. Vive la France is a large map expansion add-on for Euro Truck Simulator 2.Run game with -openvr key and enable mirroring in SteamVR settings. With the Rift CV1 in December, there was no problem at all - VR HMD right from the start as soon as the VR-beta for ETS2 was installed and I added “-oculus” to the start options.Uset o_oculus_mirror_mode "1"To the C:\Users\-username-\Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2\config.cfg But, I have tried to follow the guide available on Steam, but without the -openvr launch option, it opens in the Theater Mode, and with the -openvr, it does not launch at all. I have seen others play ETS2 in VR and it looks fun. Nothing but the blue SteamVR grid inside the Pimax itself. I have recently (about a week ago) purchased a HTC Vive. But apart from this, the game itself only shows up on the TV screen. The “flat” start options (-“openvr” or “-oculus”) first of course as well.īut nothing worked so far: The HMD screen launches, I also get the blue SteamVR grid, the game image on my TV still shows the Windows10 task bar below, so it seems as if somehow the game knows there’s a HMD attached with SteamVR launched. with Oculus Setup
